Inert Korean War M30 Practice Hand Grenade

This is an inert US M 30 practice hand grenade from the Korean War era. The M30 was used to train soldiers and Marines how to employ the M 26 hand grenade. The M 26 was commonly referred to as the "Lemon" grenade, and was the result of improvements over the WWII Mk II grenade. The M 30 saw service from the early 1950's throughout the 1960's. This M 30 represents an early example. It has not been updated with the safety clip of the M62. There are two stamps on the body of the grenade, RFX 55 on the upper half and P2 on the lower half. The grenade saw limited use during the Korean War, but was used extensively during the Vietnam War. It comes with a spoon, fuze and pin and displays well.
