WWII M13 Cover for the M1919A4 .30 Caliber Light Machine Gun

This is an M13 gun cover for the M1919A4 .30 caliber light machine gun used during WWII though the 1960's. The cover is made of a khaki colored canvas and measures approximately 36" along the spine of the cover. There are three lift the dot fasteners along the bottom of the cover to help protect the weapon while in transport when mounted on a vehicle or on a tripod. A leather boot is sewn onto the bottom of the cover to accommodate the pintle of the machine gun. There is also a leather reinforcement square sewn into the inside of the cover where the front of the feed tray cover would rest. Stenciled on the outside of the cover is COVER, GUN, M13/24-C-1412-20. The makers name of BRESLEE MFG. CO, is stenciled on the inside of the cover. There is some scattered darker green paint on the outside of the cover, perhaps a field applied camouflage to break up the outline of the gun. This will make a great addition to your vehicle mounted .30 caliber M1919 gun, or for those of you who ground mount the M1919's!
