This book was written by Harold L. Peterson, published in 1991 as an eighth printing, the narrative is 282 pages and is illustrated with black and white photos and drawings. It was the first book devoted exclusively to the subject. It is an invaluable tool to collectors, curators and historians. It is enhanced with more than 400 illustrations from rare documents. This book classifies and documents all major types of swords worn by the US armed forces, cadets and diplomats from the American Revolution to to the end of World War II. This hard back book is in very good condition, with a dust cover also in very good condition.
