This is a German Hunting Society (DEUTSCHE JAGERSCHAFT OSTPREUSSEN) 50 year membership badge from World War II. The Deutsche Jagerschaft was established in 1934 with mandatory membership for anyone who possessed a hunting license. This organization was headed by Hermann Goring. This badge is circular in shape and measures 1 1/2" across. It is green and white enamel painted with an applied Prussian Royal Elk in bronze in the center. The pin on the reverse is original to the badge and does not show any repairs. There is no makers mark or RZM code on the back. This badge was worn on the members hunting fedora.
